You remember Gordon Shumway (ALF), right? OK, but do you remember how he got here? What? You don't. Well lets find out more about him and discover more about his adventures here on earth.

That was interesting wasn't it. But you know what? I think ALF needs a new car. His space ship is gone right? So now he is stuck in the Tanner's house. He needs to get out once in awhile. Why don't you pick out a new car for him. Then, even if he can't get back to Melmac, he can at least travel around here on earth.

Here is what to do in order to get Gordon, I mean ALF, his new car.

1. Use an online car buying service to see what kinds of cars are available.

2. Select three (3) make and models that might fit ALF's travel needs. You may select any car models. Cost is not a factor. Mr. See will give you the money to pay the MSRP. All you have to do is make up the difference. What do I mean " make up the difference?" Isn't the price the PRICE? Lets find out.

3. Get the MSRP for each car (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price).

4. Your teacher will give you a Car Data Sheet. Be sure you have it with you to keep track of what you might buy.

5. Click on this car to use an online car buying service. Use it to search for and select the 3 types of cars you might buy. It will also tell you the MSRP for the cars you choose.

6. When you have completed the Car Data Sheet, use the MSRP of your cars to complete the Purchase Contract.

7. Your teacher will give you the Purchase Contract. Use a loan calculator to complete the contract.

Remember, your teacher will show you how to use the loan calculator...... and tell you more about what happens when you take out a car loan and need to make monthly payments in order to buy a car.
