APPLYING FOR A SUPPORT STAFF JOB

Q: How do I find out about available jobs?

A: Jobs are generally advertised in the locally distributed Quad Community Press newspaper and are posted on employee bulletin boards in each building and at the district office. Occasionally, jobs are advertised in the Sunday edition of the statewide newspapers.

Q: How do I apply for an advertised job for which I’m qualified?

A: Telephone the job line at 763-792-6020 and request that an application be mailed to your address.

Q: Is it OK to call your office to find out if my application material is complete?

A: If you have carefully followed the directions when completing your application, and if you mailed the application so that the personnel office received it by the advertised due date, there is no need for you to call the personnel office. The small size of the personnel office and the large volume of applications make response letters from the school district to each applicant impossible.

Q: Is it OK to call your office to find out if I’m going to get a job interview?

A: If you are going to be invited for a job interview, the personnel office will contact you by telephone. Please do not contact the personnel office for an interview.

Q: If I apply for a job and don’t get hired, and a job for which I’m qualified is advertised at a later date, do I have to reapply?

A: Your application will be on file in the personnel office for approximately one calendar year from the date you originally apply for an advertised job. You must telephone the job line at 763-792-6020 and reactivate your application for subsequently advertised jobs.
