This full day, year-before-kindergarten program is currently held at Blue Heron, Centennial, Centerville and Rice Lake elementary schools. KC Preschool is designed to help children prepare to enter kindergarten with the skills and behaviors necessary to be successful. Children who are four years old before September 1 of the current school year and are toilet trained are eligible to enroll.
Kids Club care for before and after preschool is offered from 6-9:30 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. for an additional charge. Children work on listening, personal and social development, language and literacy, thinking and math skills through guided play, group time, and social interaction. Activities include language arts, math, science, art, large muscle (gym/outside), dramatic play, blocks, and music.
Children attending during school hours will need to purchase a lunch or bring a lunch from home. Before school enrollees have the opportunity to purchase breakfast.
We are full at all offered sites for 2014-15. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list, please complete and return the two-page contract.
* Please note Centennial Community Education (including the Kids Club/KC Preschool’s Administrative Office) moved to the high school east campus building during the summer of 2013. Office hours are 9 am-3 pm Monday-Thursday, although staff are often here beyond those days and times, so feel free to call ahead.
