Kids Club is the school-age, childcare program sponsored by the Centennial Community Education. During the summer, children are organized into grade level groups where they spend the majority of their day in play and activities. Each classroom environment features various age-appropriate centers that allow for individual choices.  These centers include games, manipulatives, arts and crafts, reading center and creative play area.  The children spend a portion of each day enjoying a variety of outdoor recreational experiences.  Play clothes and tennis shoes are recommended for outdoor activities.  Special interest clubs are also offered.  Kids Club Summer C.A.M.P. philosophy provides a framework for offering an enriching educational and recreational environment that enhances development and encourages children to explore who they are and grow and socially through:

C= Creative Arts- explore creativity and individual expression through a variety of art mediums, drama and writing

A= Academic Enrichment- experience, discover, experiment, problem solve and reinforce skills to be successful in school to help keep children on track

M= Mingling With Our World- exploring the metro area through a variety of locations with weekly field trips

P= Physical Fitness- improve physical well-being, develop healthy habits and good nutrition

Eligible Ages- Summer Kids Club is for children entering kindergarten through 6th grade in the fall of 2017. All children must be fully toilet-trained. In addition to regular activities, 4th, 5th and 6th graders will have the opportunity to help plan and lead activities for the younger children, allowing them to discover and develop leadership, mentoring, and initiative skills. In addition, field trips specifically geared to older participants. At the end of summer, a trip to ValleyFair is available for an extra charge.

Breakfast and Lunch- A cold breakfast is provided at no extra charge for all children who are in attendance before 8 am. Breakfast may consist of cereal, fruit, and milk, or a bakery item, fruit and milk. Enrollment with hot lunch is an option for an additional $4 per day. The hot lunch option will include a bag lunch each field trip day. Parents must choose this option when filling out the registration contract. They will receive a monthly menu via email, and it will be posted on-site and on the Kids Club webpage. There will be no refunds of lunches due to vacation, absence, or non participation. This hot lunch program is not affiliated with the school district food service department/PayPams. Those who do not wish to participate in the hot lunch program must send a labeled bag lunch and beverage each day. No refrigeration is available for bag lunches. An afternoon snack is offered daily at no extra charge.

Summer 2017 Rates- Kids Club offers full-time care (5 days a week) or part-time care (four, three, or two full days a week). When enrolling online via FeePay, a registration fee per contract will automatically be assessed/paid using the payment method designated. For families preferring to remit a printed enrollment contract, a check or money order must be included to cover the registration fee. Make checks payable to Kids Club. This payment (per child) is required in order for Kids Club to process each contract.  Early bird registration = $35/child

                                         Standard registration = $50/child

Pick Your Days Care- Parents must select their child’s upcoming care online through their Eleyo account. Failure to request care by the 23rd of the month may result in no care being available for that upcoming month, or fees may be charged at the higher Drop In rate. To qualify for Pick Your Days care, families should commit to at least 6 days of care for the upcoming month. June’s days must be reserved online using FeePay by May 23, July’s care must be reserved by June 23, and August by July 23.

Drop In Requests- All Drop-In care needs to be requested online via FeePay and will be dependent upon available space.

*If your household qualified for Educational/School Meal Benefits (free/reduced lunches) for the 2015-16 school year, a 15% discount may be applied to regularly contracted weekly fees. In order to receive the 15% discount, families must provide a copy of their eligibility confirmation letter to Kids Club’s Billing/Registration Secretary, kidsclub@isd12.org, 763-792-6113 fax.

Vacation Credit—Children enrolled for consistent (full-time or part-time) Summer Kids Club care (2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week) will receive vacation credit equivalent to the number of days a week they attend Summer Kids Club.
