Early Childhood Screening - profile - web site
Screenings are required by Minnesota state law before children can enter/register for kindergarten. It involves checking a child's vision, height, weight, hearing, health history and immunizations, speech and language, general development and motor skills. The screenings help parents and the community improve the educational readiness and health of all young children through early detection of children's health, developmental and other factors that may interfere with a child's learning, growth and development. Parents will be called prior to their child's fourth birthday. If you are not called at least two months before your child turns four, call 763-792-6000 to leave a message for the screening secretary.
Screenings are held at St. Mark Church on North Road in Circle Pines. For information call Donna McKenny, Health Services, at 763-952-5025, or Renee Dietz at Early Childhood at 763-792-6134           click here for screening dates
