The fourth grade students in Mrs. Carlson's class were involved in this project.   The activities that the students engaged in to obtain the information on these pages were:

  • Pictures and information from the Anoka County Historical Society were shared by Mrs. Capra.
  • Students interviewed citizens to find out what it was like to live in Centerville when they were children.
  • Students visited the St. Genevieve Cemetery and recorded information found there.   They then returned to school and organized and shared the information.
  • Students took a walking tour of Centerville.  All the recent photographs on these web pages were taken by the students with a digital camera.  During the tour, they discussed what they had learned from the Historical Society and learned more from one of the citizens of Centerville that works at our school.

Please contact Centerville School if you would like to help us continue this project or you have information that we may use to help students achieve a better understanding of history.  Phone:  763-792-5800
