The release of the Multiple Measurements Rating data from the Minnesota Department of Education shows the Centennial School District exceeded state averages in overall proficiency, student growth and closing the achievement gap. The district's two Title I schools are both recognized as "Reward" schools for their high performance.
The District proposes changes to school start times and busing schedules, effective 2013-2014. District administration studied the impact of start times on student learning and other school operations, including bus transportation.
Centennial students, grades 4-8, have been developing problem-solving skills through the Future Problem Solving Program (FPSP). Two teams landed an opportunity to advance to the international competition to be held at the University of Indiana in June.
