Michelle Li, a third grade student at Centerville Elementary, earned the highest score in Minnesota on the NUMATS/Explore exam. Christopher Meng, a sixth grade student at Centennial Middle School, earned the highest score in the state in Mathematics and shared first place for ACT composite. In addition, he was given the Explore Award for scoring in the top five percent of all sixth grade students in Minnesota.
Thanks to the 45 area businesses, community and school organizations, families and individuals that contributed to the scholarship fund. This year, 91 students received scholarships and were recognized at the annual scholarship event held May 12.
