Students at Rice Lake reading in the gym during the school's assembly.
All Rice Lake Elementary students and staff read for three minutes during their school assembly, setting a record of the most people reading at once at their school.

Rice Lake Elementary had its first assembly to celebrate kids making great decisions and to set a school record. Every student and staff member brought a book and read for three minutes during the assembly, setting a school record of having the most people reading at the same time at the school. Even the Centennial Cougar mascot showed up to read. Many students wanted to continue reading! The school will look at breaking their record and set a goal to read even longer at their next assembly.

Congratulations!
