Teacher’s Tweet Wins Technology for Students
Centennial Teacher is a Best Buy Education Sweepstakes Winner

By sharing the tweet, “Hey @BestBuyEdu help our team reach diverse learners by personalizing their classroom experience. #sweepstakes,” Centennial High School Social Studies Teacher Chris Ripken wins technology worth more than $10,000 from Best Buy Education. The prize package will help personalize the students’ classroom experience.

“Not all students learn at the same pace,” said Ripken. “The use of technology as a tool to help teach allows for more opportunities for students to work with others, gain a greater autonomy of time management, and the opportunity for self-paced learning that is suitable to their needs,” he added. The sweepstakes win of technology provides the devices for all students. Those who comprehend material quickly can move through the objectives faster and then can take on more challenging tasks. Technology allows the students who need extra guidance on a specific task the extra time needed to master the information.

“We are thrilled that Centennial High School students will get to learn while using the latest technology,” said Best Buy Spokesperson Danielle Schumann.  “It’s of significant importance to us at Best Buy to help today’s youth enhance their digital literacy.”

Best Buy Education is a division of Best Buy that helps schools with their technology and service needs.

The device prizes include:

  • 30 Lenovo Chromebooks, Google Chrome licenses and charging cart
  • 30 Hapara Instructional Suites
  • Geek Squad White Glove Service
  • Professional Development by Educational Collaborators
