File for school board by August 14

To file for openings on the Centennial School Board, please visit the district office (4707 North Road, Circle Pines) during summer office hours (Monday–Thursday, 7 am–4 pm; Friday, 8 am–noon) to obtain an Affidavit of Candidacy. The filing period begins Tuesday, July 31 and closes at 5 pm, Tuesday, August 14. The filing fee is $2.

Changes are Coming to the GED Test

The GED test is undergoing unprecedented changes that will affect millions – the estimated number of adult Americans without a high school degree (40 million), and those who have not passed all five tests that comprise the GED (General Educational Developmental Diploma). New Year’s Eve, 2013, is the deadline when those who have not passed all five tests will need to start over.
Minnesota Basic Education has prepared a three minute video on this topic.

Pines School joins Centennial School District
