Federal Guidelines

Centennial School District participates in the National School Lunch Program and must offer 5 food components for lunch, (milk, fruits, vegetables, grains, meat/meat alternates). Students are allowed to decline 2 of the 5 required food components, but must select at least 1/2 cup of either a fruit or vegetable. Students must select the other food components in the quantities planned. For breakfast, students are given a choice of four items: meat/meat alternate, bread/bread alternate, milk and fruit. Students must select three of the four items.

Due to the changes affiliated with the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act legislation of 2010 we will no longer be able to offer a Smuckers Uncrustable or hoagie at the elementary schools every day of the week.  Those sandwiches will be available Monday thru Thursday but on Friday, we will be offering an elementary salad option with a breadstick.

If you have any questions, please call the manager at your child's school or the district food service office at 763-792-5422.
