Why does Centennial need a voter-approved levy?

Three reasons why the district looks to its residents for support:

  1. The state’s general educational funding has not kept up with inflation since 2003. This year alone, there is a $4.23 million gap in revenue versus the cost of doing business.
  2. Centennial has reduced its budget by $5.1 million over the past three years; $9.3 million in five years; $17.2 million over the past nine years.
  3. In just the past three years, over 60 full-time positions (22 teachers and 25 paraprofessionals), cuts to supply, technology, activity/athletic and textbook budgets, and an increase in fees for activities, athletics, and student parking
