With educational excellence and equity for all students at the center of his beliefs, Jeff Holmberg leads through collaborating and supporting the performance of administrators and teachers, actively engaging families and community, and encouraging student voice and choice to improve student success, achievement, and results.

Jeff is an experienced and proven educational leader in strategic planning, instructional leadership, curriculum design, innovative program development, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), referendum planning, design, and construction of educational spaces for student learning.

As the assistant superintendent at Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools, Jeff was responsible for the oversight of district elementary and secondary curriculum, instruction and personalized learning, and assessment. He co-led, planned, and facilitated the referendum process for operating and bond referendum, including facilities planning and the design process of a $109 million bond referendum. He led and facilitated the planning and development of a multi-year educational equity and excellence plan to help ensure all students are college and career ready for post-secondary success as well as led and facilitated the development of innovative programming for students at Prior Lake – Savage Area Schools. He also developed and established partnerships with district, community, and state entities.

Other positions held include director of curriculum, instruction, and assessment at Prior Lake – Savage Area Schools and director of teaching, learning, and school improvement at Big Lake Public Schools, Big Lake, MN. Jeff has also been an assistant principal at Independence Elementary School, Big Lake, MN. He completed an administrative assistant and administrative internship at Minnewashta Elementary School, Minnetonka, MN where he was an elementary teacher.

Jeff earned an Education Specialist Degree/Administrative Licensure from the University of St. Thomas, a Masters in Education from Hamline University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College. Jeff will begin the doctoral program fall 2021 at Concordia University, St. Paul, MN.
