Requirements

Annual Testing
  • Minnesota law requires homeschool students to take a standardized, nationally normed achievement test each year.
  • The test name must be included with registration and re-enrollment.
  • Test scores are not submitted to the district but must be kept in your records.

Subject Requirements
Homeschool instruction must be provided in at least the following subject areas:
  • Basic communication skills including reading and writing, literature and fine arts
  • Mathematics and science
  • Social Studies including history, geography, economics, government and citizenship
  • Health and physical education
