COVID-19 Health Information
The health and safety of our school community is a top priority, Centennial Schools partners with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for guidance and planning regarding Covid-19.
What to Do if You Have Covid-19: Isolation
We ask that all students or staff who suspect they have Covid-19 stay home. If a student or staff member suspects they have Covid-19, it is recommended by the CDC that you isolate and test for Covid-19.
Students and staff members who test positive for Covid-19 are required to isolate for 5 days per CDC recommendations. Please see the Isolation Guidance to determine your isolation dates, and date of return. As with any illness, an individual must be fever free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication prior to returning to school.
Please report all positive cases to your school via the attendance form. If your student attends Kid's Club, please report the positive case to them as well.
Note: Masks will not be required for students or staff in school buildings or on buses; however, staff and students may wear a mask should they choose to do so.
Covid-19 Testing
Please contact your school directly for free Covid-19 Testing Kits while supplies last. Please visit MDH for more information related to where to get tested, types of tests, and what to expect.

Covid-19 Vaccination Resources
In addition to basic health and hygiene practices, the CDC recommends staying up-to-date with Covid-19 vaccinations. Please talk to your healthcare provider and visit MDH for the most up-to-date information regarding Covid-19 vaccination recommendations and vaccination sites.
Mitigation
Centennial Schools continue to focus on multi-layered mitigation strategies to provide a safe environment for all. These strategies include emphasis on isolation guidelines, testing, prevention, hygiene practices and cleaning protocols and procedures.
Centennial School District continues to work closely with the Minnesota Department of Health for guidance and surveillance of Covid-19 cases within the district. Adjustments in safe planning will be made as needed to maintain a healthy environment for all.
