Book Cover Contest
Let’s continue to clear the clouds at Centennial! Design and submit a book cover for our Centennial Youth Voice collection.
Your statements are being collected to spread awareness about the impact e-cigarettes and vaping have on our youth at Centennial. These statements are being put together to form a book and every book needs a cover!
One winner will be chosen and will receive a pair of Beats Studio Buds!
Why Participate?
E-cigarettes/vapes are the most commonly used commercial tobacco products among young people. Did you know one disposable vape can contain as much addictive nicotine as 700 cigarettes, and that thousands of unknown chemicals have been found in vape clouds? In addition, many teens who vape experience poor concentration, anxiety, mood disorders, sleep disturbances and health issues.
The big tobacco industries market e-cigarettes and vapes as cool, fun and as an alternative to smoking cigarettes. What are they not telling you? They’re not telling you how many teens have trouble with stress, anxiety, sleep, relationships, money, breathing and other health problems due to vaping.
This contest allows you to use your creativity to design the cover of our Centennial Youth Voices book which will help bring awareness about the harmful effects of vaping, and take a stand against the shady tobacco industry!
Eligibility
- Students in grades 6-12 are eligible to enter.
Contest Information
- Submission opens: 3/28/2025
- Book Cover Submission closes: 05/15/2025
- Contest Winner announced: 5/20/2025
- Winning book cover design may be shared with the completion of the book, banners, school/district newsletters etc.
Contest Rules
- Book cover must be created by the student and be original work. May be designed by hand or digitally.
- Designs must not:
- Contain or promote sexually explicit, obscene, violent, discriminatory, illegal, offensive, threatening, profane, or harassing material or language or they will be disqualified.
Contest Permission Form and Book Cover Submission
Waiver/Release/Consent: The Clear the Clouds at Centennial Youth Voices book cover participant’s parent/guardian must fill out the Waiver/Release/Consent on behalf of participants under the age of 18. If the participant is 18 or older, they must fill out the Waiver/Release/Consent. Entries submitted without this form will be disqualified.

Please note, all book cover entries submitted will be voted on by selected staff and students. All book cover entries may be shared and presented in our schools and our public website!
Book Cover Prize
One winner will be chosen and will receive a pair of Beats Studio Buds! Beats Studio Buds are true wireless noise canceling earbuds, compatible with Apple and Android, built-in microphone, IPX4 rating, sweat resistant earphones.
