School Board

The School Board is the governing authority of the school district. The responsibilities of the School Board are primarily focused on three areas:

• Budget adoption, revenue management, and expenditure authorization
• Superintendent selection, contract, and evaluation
• Establishing District policy 

A school board meeting is an assembly of the members and is open to the public. The Minnesota Open Meeting Law prevents the board from taking any action on behalf of the district in a closed meeting, except when permitted by statute.

School Board Members

The Centennial School District is governed by a six-member board elected at large from residents residing in the school district and serve alternating four-year terms. The Superintendent serves as an ex officio, non-voting member of the board.
