Thanks to the 45 area businesses, community and school organizations, families and individuals that contributed to the scholarship fund. This year, 91 students received scholarships and were recognized at the annual scholarship event held May 12.
Rachel Jolin, a sixth grader representing Centennial Middle School, achieved individual Highest Honors in the recent WordMasters Challenge™—a national vocabulary competition involving nearly 150,000 students annually. Thirteen students from the middle school participated this year.
Nine Centennial High School students have been selected to perform in the 2014-15 Minnesota Music Educators All-State Ensembles, a program that develops the finest musicians and leaders among the state's most accomplished high school students.
Twenty-four Centennial students participated in the State Future Problem Solving Competition; 17 advance to the International Competition, June 12-15 at Iowa State University.
Centennial High School choir students received high marks at the region solo/ensemble contest in March. Michael Welch received "Best in Site" for his performance.
