Centennial High School Receives Silver Medal

Centennial High School received a silver ranking from U.S. News & World Report on college readiness. The ranking measures student performance on state exams and exams that test college-level course work (participation in and passing of Advanced Placement exams).

  • 38.7 is the college readiness score
  • 48% of eligible students took AP exams
  • 75% of students who took AP exams passed
  • 68% of students are proficient in math
  • 67% of students are proficient in reading

The U.S. News rankings include data on more than 20,500 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Centennial ranks #1379 in the U.S. and #27 in the state of Minnesota. Awards went to the top 5,948 public high schools with gold, silver, and bronze medals indicating their level of college readiness based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.
