The Senior Service Day provides Centennial High School seniors the opportunity to gain experience in public service, problem solving, and helping make connections with the community. Students will be bused to sites where learning takes place right in their own backyard; 350 students signed up to work at 22 sites to perform service in the district’s communities of Lexington, Circle Pines, Blaine, Lino Lakes, and Centerville. Senior Service Day was created in collaboration with the Chain of Lakes Rotary and coordinated by Kaiya Carlson, a student at the high school, and staff.

The program is designed to create opportunities for students to give back and make connections to their community while helping to improve situations and/or helping people. The service idea was created from strategic planning work conducted by the Centennial School District which focuses on connecting with its communities.
