Vision for the Future

By Isaac

Imagine that you are walking down the street with no money, no food, no shelter, and an even bigger problem… you can’t see that well. Well, that’s what people have to deal with in developing countries.

What if all that could change? What if a small donation that doesn’t cost any money could change someone’s life? Well, your chance is here! Mr. Gutbrod’s 5th grade class at Blue Heron Elementary and the Circle-Lex Lions’ Club are collecting no longer used  eyeglasses .

When I was in 4th grade, I had trouble seeing the board. I kept squinting and my teacher moved me to the front of the class to help me with my sight. When my parents found out, they took me to the optometrist and bought me glasses. I am so happy that I can see clearly now.

Many people in developing countries don’t have the money or resources to buy eyeglasses like my parents did for me. That’s why it is important to help those in need. Send your no longer used eyeglasses to Blue Heron Elementary; Mr. Gutbrod’s Grade 5 Class by the end of the school year.

Please consider donating unused eyeglasses today . It will not only help someone see, but it may help someone do better in their job, in their education, be more connected, and have a vision for a better future and life.

Eyeglasses can be mailed or dropped off at Blue Heron Elementary, 405 Elm Street, Lino Lakes, MN 55014.
