Five Seniors Receive Letters of Commendation

Congratulations to Centennial students!

Five Centennial High School students received National Merit Scholarship Program Letters of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic promise.

Centennial students who received Letters of Commendation are: Christopher Hareland, Sloan Johnson, Wyatt Oelkers, Mackenzie Smith and Madeline Sorenson.

About 34,000 Commended students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional promise.  Commended students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2015 competition.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
