Centennial Food Service Wins a Turnip the Beet Award
The district has been recognized as a Turnip the Beet Winner by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS). Centennial is one of six school districts in Minnesota and 84 nationwide to receive this award.
The award recognizes the Centennial School District for the staff's work during the summer of 2021 when federal waivers allowed schools both financial and regulatory support to provide meals within the community. Centennial received a bronze award in recognition of going "above and beyond program requirements to serve high-quality meals to children during the summer months."
Congratulations to our food service staff!
