Minnesota Vikings Player Weatherly Gives Students a History Lesson

Centennial students enrolled in third hour history and government had a guest speaker--Stephen Weather of the Minnesota Vikings.

Stephen Weatherly, Minnesota Vikings football player, gave a history lesson to third hour students enrolled in history and government on November 27. He spoke from the Vikings practice facility about applying  history to our lives today and delivered a message of perseverance, facing adversity, and staying on the path to success. Weatherly attended Vanderbilt and talked about his education, including his love for science, math, and engineering. The curriculum used in the history and government classes is supported by the Minnesota Vikings Foundation and matches the Centennial-style of  personalized learning where students are engaged and learn by working at their own pace.
