Centennial High School students made the trip to Brainerd for the Super Mileage Competition. As a second-year team, their electric vehicle took fourth place. The car made seven races, totaling 42 miles. The students enrolled in Small Engines 2 made sure batteries were charged for every race and also took turns driving the car on the track.

The students' gas car came to the race not running and in need of a lot of work, however with persistence they had the car running.

The students brought home a $1,000 Gene Haas Manufacturing grant that will fund the super mileage program.
