Centennial students participated in the University of Minnesota Marching Band High School Band Day and had the opportunity to play on the field to perform for the crowd.

On September 8, 65 Centennial Band students participated in the University of Minnesota Marching Band High School Band Day. Students spent the entire day at the U: observing and participating in the University of Minnesota Marching Band rehearsal; lunch in Ridder Arena;  performed at three different tailgate lots pre-game; then headed to TCF Bank stadium to watch the football game. At halftime and post-game the high school bands joined the University of Minnesota Marching Band on the field to perform for the crowd. What a great experience!

Students had a lot of fun, were able to interact with college musicians, and  participate in the Big Ten Game day experience.  Centennial alum who are currently playing in the University of Minnesota Marching Band: Allie Jensen '14; Ryan Kells '15; Wyatt Oelkers '15; Daniel Abraham '18; and Owen Drabek '18.
