Support Systems are in Place

Systems are in Place to Support Students
The District has created practices that address all learners.

  • District-wide AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) will be launched at every school site in 2021-2022. Programming is currently in place at Centerville Elementary, Rice Lake Elementary School, Centennial Elementary School, Centennial Middle School, and Centennial High School. View a video here on AVID programming at Centennial High School.
  • PARR (Purpose, Academic, Reflection, Restorative) is a restorative practice that serves as an alternative to a suspension program that works WITH students to resolve conflict. The program also addresses disparities in suspension of students of color. In the District’s first year, suspensions were lowered by 90%. Click here for information on the program.
