Students in the following course will produce the yearbook.  New students must fill out an application and receive written permission from the instructor before registering for this course.  Applications are available online (Family Connection or CHS Website) or in the West Office.
Prerequisite:

  • Advance writing and journalism skills necessary.
  • Photography experience preferred.

     

MEDIA PUBLICATIONS 1 (Yearbook 1)

Students in this course will:

  • Design and publish the Centennial Yearbook.
  • Learn elements of design and layout.
  • Work under pressure of strict deadlines.
  • Develop skills in writing, editing, publishing, project management, art, photo and design.
  • Learn 21st century job-related skills.

 


 

MEDIA PUBLICATIONS 2 (Yearbook 2)

Students in this course will:

  • Work under pressure of strict deadlines.
  • Continue to work with computer design and project management.
  • Develop skills in publishing.
  • Finish the yearbook by last deadline.
  • Create the spring supplement.
  • Organize, plan and participate in the distribution of the yearbook.
  • Start working on the yearbook for the next year, develop a theme and give the yearbook a direction for next year.
