The Early Childhood Special Education program is designed to provide evaluation and educational services to qualified preschool children from birth to kindergarten. Children from birth to age three are primarily served in home-based settings, while children ages three to five typically receive services in Centennial's Early Childhood Center.
The District typically screens children before they turn 4 years old. If you have not been called prior to your child's fourth birthday, or would like screening done early due to a concern (ie: hearing, vision, speech, behavior, development), please send an email to ecscreening@isd12.org or call and leave a message at 763.792.6120 to schedule an appointment. Learn more about early childhood screening online.
If you have concerns regarding your child's development please visit Help Me Grow and fill out the referral form. Once the referral has been made, early childhood experts from Centennial, or your school district, will contact you to discuss your concerns.
