News from Mr. Hartmann...

It's been a great week at Blue Heron!  Just a reminder that next week is a short week.  There is no school on Thursday, 10/21 or Friday, 10/22.

Families, please remember we are using our new Attendance Form to report all absences, early releases, and late arrivals.  You can find this form on the Blue Heron webpage at or at the following link:

 Halloween/ Character Parade

As a result of managing our mitigation strategies, BHE will not be having our annual Halloween/ Character Parade this year.  Individual classrooms will communicate any details regarding fall activities within their classroom.   We are requesting that students not bring snacks from home to share with the class.  Any costumes that are worn at school must be able to be worn to school and throughout the day. Below are a few general reminders regarding character costumes.

  • We are not having kids change into their costumes like in the past.
  • Kids may not wear face paint to school.
  • As a reminder no volunteers are allowed during school hours.
  • There should not be scary costumes (blood and guts) or scary characters.  If they need to ask if it is appropriate, use your best judgment or have them ask someone in the office.
  • There should be no weapons of any kind, even if they are fake and go with the costume.
  • We want kids to have fun, not be scared.

We are and We are Centennial!
