About Rice Lake Elementary

Rice Lake Elementary is a community that teaches the traits of respect, responsibility, cooperation, and perseverance to create a safe and positive culture. Our school community strives to meet social, emotional, and academic needs, and increase learning for all students.

We are located in Lino Lakes on the edge of the scenic Rice Creek Watershed. The school serves approximately 600 plus students in grades kindergarten through five and we have several preschool classes embedded within the building. We also house the district’s Early Childhood Center that was designed and built specifically with early learners in mind.

One of the best things about Rice Lake Elementary is that it’s not the beautiful building and setting that makes it a great place; it’s what happens on the inside. Our students are guided by a dedicated, caring and hardworking staff. The staff at Rice Lake function as a team and are committed to growing and working alongside students.

Our commitment to students is to make them successful citizens and to have them give and serve in the community that they become part of when they get older. Our motto is “We Are Hawks”--We Have respect, Act responsibly, Work together, Keep positive, and Strive to do our best. That is engrained in all that we do and who we are. We don’t assume students know how to act in every space, so we use consistent language and expectations to teach kids and acknowledge them when they’re meeting those expectations. If students are struggling to meet expectations, then we work to surround them with support so that they can be successful.

Rice Lake Elementary also has an incredibly supportive community and we are surrounded by excellent parents who work alongside us to support their students.

GO HAWKS!
