 **There are no tickets needed for the graduation ceremony.  All are welcome to attend.**

Senior Events/Dates to Remember   2018-19

Friday, September 28th - Homecoming - tailgating before school, Pepfest/Cornation 2pm W. Gym, Football game 7pm

Friday, September 28th - Class of 2019 - picture at the stadium 7:45am sharp (during tailgating for Homecoming)

Saturday, September 29th - Homecoming Dance 

Wednesday, October 3rd - Last chance to get senior picture for yearbook - PAC lobby during LEAP

November 14th - Information about graduation announcements and cap/gown and diplomas will be distributed in the PAC during LEAP.

 November 20th - NRP will be here to take graduation announcement orders/cap and gown measurement turn in during LEAP in the West Building.

 December 12th Senior Panoramic – Time and location TBD- listen to announcements and watch Twitter – CHS Announcements.  Order forms available in both offices

December 15th - Senior Baby Ad Deadline

 January 18th - Senior Advisory Task Deadline.  The Senior Advisory task (and advisory credit given) must be completed prior to this date.  All advisory credits from prior years must also be made up by this date.

March 18th – March 29th - Accepting applications for Graduation speakers.  Pick up applications in either office - or see below for copy of application.   Scroll to bottom.

April 2nd  - Senior Graduation Announcements/Accessories delivery -  Pick up after Information Session in the PAC lobby You will be receiving a postcard from NRP if you have a balance due on your order. This balance will be due at pick up.  * If you have any questions about announcements please contact the NRP office at 1-800-858-0611

April 2nd - Senior Information Review Session (MANDATORY)/Senior Service Day:  Senior Information Review Session – more info on exact times to follow – attendance will be taken.  

 April 27th – Prom

 May 1st - Reminder to pay the $35 graduation participation fee.  Pay NOW - it's not too late.   This needs to be paid ASAP. This fee covers the cost of the auditorium rental and security.  Pay this on Fee pay or drop off check or cash to the West office - cash or check payable to Centennial High School

 May 13th- A list of honors students will be posted in the West Building Office the week of May 13th.  The list will show if students are eligible for a gold tassel, gold cord or gold stole (based on gpa).  These are optional and will be available for purchase in the west office starting the week of May 13th.  This is based on all work completed through the end of 1st semester.  Those eligible can purchase additional sanctioned cords and tassels at this time.  These will be available until June 7th

$30 - Highest Honors:  3.920 to 4.0 (or above) = Stole, Gold Cord,  Gold tassel

$15 – High Honors:  3.667 to 3.919 = Gold cord, Gold tassel

$8 - Honorable Mention:  3.000 to 3.666 = Gold tassel

$9 – Peer Leader blue cord – Cashier will have a list of who is eligible

Graduate with Distinction:  Completion of 12 honors credits.  A list of students eligible will be posted in the West Building Office the week of May 13th.  Please see your counselor if you have questions.  Medals are available at no cost. All grades must be in to receive the medal.  Medals will be available after grades are posted on June 3rd.

 National Honor Society Students:  See Mr. Rasmussen (W506) in May to find out if you are eligible for an NHS Cord.

 Student Council Students:  See Mr. Poppleton (E205) in May to find out if you are eligible for a Student Council Cord.

 Peer Leaders:  List of eligible Peer Leaders to receive a Peer Leader Cord will be posted in the West building the week of May 13th . If you have questions, see Ms. Eaton.

Military:  See Ms. Erzberger for eligibility.

  

May 15th -All fees and fines need to be paid and taken care of in order to pick up cap and gown on May 29th.   These include but are not limited to:  all library/text books, calculators, Phyed locks, unpaid lunch accounts, $35 grad fee, senior survey, missing advisory tasks, grades.    Your student should be receiving an updated list each week in advisory starting May 8th.   Ask them about it.   

 May 17th - Senior Boat Dance (optional):  From 8–11PM, Taylors Falls. First Come - First Come First Serve.    There is a limited availability on the boat.   Watch twitter – CHS announcements for sign up information – it usually is the last week of April. 

 May 20th    - Scholarship Night:  At 7PM in the PAC.  Students will receive a formal invitation to attend the Scholarship night and will need to RSVP if they will be attending.  Parents and community members are encouraged to attend.

 May 28th- The deadline for all students earning night school credits/credit recovery - is Tuesday, May 28th at 4:15pm.

 May 29th   - Cap, Gown, Tassel distribution to students:  ALL graduating seniors including PSEO, early graduates and students not attending school during the day will be able to pick up their cap and gown during LEAP in the West building.      If you can’t pick up at this time, they will be available during LEAP time only the rest of the week or after rehearsal on Monday, June 4th.

May 31st - The deadline to have second semester work completed - by 3:00pm

May 31st - Graduation Rehearsal at CHS (MANDATORY): (8am-10:30am) Rehearsal will be in the PAC/West gym.  Report directly to the West gym at 8am. Anyone wishing to participate in the graduation ceremony must attend.  Please report directly to the West gym – attendance will be taken.

May 31st- seniors’ last day of school – parade through elementary schools – Please sign up online with the below link.  Students will be going to the elementary schools immediately following the rehearsal.  Buses will be in the link area.    If seniors choose not to participate in the elementary parades - they are required to be in their 4th, 5th and 6th hour classes.

June 3rd - deadline to sign up for handicap seating.  After this date, if you have not signed up – it will be first come first serve for the remainder of the handicap seats available on the main floor.  Handicapped Seating and Services: Handicapped seating, sign language interpreter, assistive listening kit, etc. are available.  For handicapped parking please visit

For handicap seating – please fill out form on website.  Call Ms. Pierson (763) 792-5002 if you have questions. Please limit requests to less than 8 to accommodate all families in need.  Deadline to sign up is June 4th.

Handicap/Medically Necessary Seating

 June 3rdThe deadline to sign up to ride the bus to the graduation ceremony.  Buses will leave at 3pm and return approximately 7:30PM.   There is no cost to ride the bus.  Students and parents can sign up here.

June 5th- CALC Senior Recognition (spring)

June 8th - Graduation Ceremony:  At 5PM, Roy Wilkins Auditorium, Xcel Center.  No tickets are required for admittance to the ceremony.  This graduation ceremony is a formal event and the auditorium doors will open for seating at 4pm.  No noisemakers are allowed.  PLEASE hold applause until all graduates’ names have been read.  Immediately following the ceremony, please meet your graduate in the Kellogg lobby.  The Kellogg lobby is located near the front of the building.

**Students need to be at Roy Wilkins by 3:30pm.

**Ceremony typically lasts around 2 hours.

 June 8th – 9th - Senior All-Night Party:  Doors will open at 10PM and will be locked from 10:30PM – 5AM at BOWLERO (11351 Ulysses St NE, Blaine) – NEW LOCATION.    Parents of the graduates sponsor this event.  Tickets must be purchased prior to the party.  Only students participating in the graduation ceremony are invited to attend.  Follow on FACEBOOK, Twitter and Instagram – for up to date information.

June 14th- Centennial Google Account expires - please transfer all your files that you want to keep.

Other important information:

 Diplomas: Will be available for pick up at the conclusion of the graduation ceremony if all criteria is met.  After this date they will be available for pick up from the Counseling Office in the west building.  PSEO students must produce documentation for completed course work after graduation to receive their diploma from the Guidance Office.  The student must pick up in person with a picture ID as the diploma is considered an official document.

 **Diplomas will only be given out if all fees/fines are paid in full, surveys are completed and student is in good academic standings.  This includes lunch accounts paid in full.  Please see your counselor if you have questions.

  Senior Graduation Ceremony Picture:  A photographer from Lifetouch Photography will be at the graduation ceremony.  You will receive a mailing from Lifetouch Photography to order your pictures.  You may also view and order your student’s picture on-line at events.lifetouch.com.
