Career Center

The Career Center is currently open school days, Monday – Friday, 7:45a.m. to 3:15p.m. in W411.  The Career Center is also open one evening a month.

Professional School Counselors

Mission Statement

The Mission of Centennial High school counseling department is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that meets the ASCA domains of academic, personal/social and career needs of our students.  Our goal is to prepare all students to enter society successfully as emerging adults.  We foster a school community that empowers all students to value respect, responsibility and self-advocacy.

We partner with teachers, parents, support staff, administration, community members and district leaders to reduce learning barriers and build a learning community that fosters successful learners.

Our mission is to provide equality and accessibility to reach all students through our school counseling curriculum to increase their sense of self-worth, navigate their future career path and succeed beyond the walls of CHS in meeting their future goals.

Psychologist

Terese Kunick serves Centennial High School as School Psychologist; she is on the Child Study (Special Education), Student Assistance and Support Services teams.  She welcomes direct contact/referrals from parents, staff and students.

Alcohol and Drug Counselor & Student Assistance Program Coordinator

Elizabeth is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) she also holds a current Minnesota teaching license.  She serves as a community liaison with Anoka County, outside agencies, the faith community and law enforcement agencies.

Elizabeth Eaton offers opportunities for students to make positive changes and contributions in our community.

Special Education-T.OS.A. (Teacher On Special Assignment)

Centennial High School Special Education Lead Teacher.  Intakes for Special Education students new to CHS.  Represent ISD 12 for students placed outside of our district.

District Health Nurse

District health services lead nurse, housed at Centennial Middle School, providing support and leadership to nurses at 5 elementary buildings, the middle school and high school, and the ALC, Pines and Journey program for students 18-21 with special needs. Active member of many resource groups including Student Assistance Teams and Child Study Teams (Special Education) at all buildings located within the district. Co-coordinator of Early Childhood Screening. Special interests include working with families with children ages birth-21, and advocating for student health and wellness in the school setting.

Social Worker

Quinn Johnson  serves Centennial High School as School Social Worker.  She is on the Child Study (Special Education), Student Assistance, and Support Services teams.  She works directly as well as indirectly with special education students, families, school personnel, and community resources to promote and support students' academic and social success.

District Gifted Services Coordinator

Pat Christiansen is the District Gifted Services Coordinator.  She supports the K-12 programming for high achieving and gifted students.  At the high school Pat coordinates the Honors, Advanced Placement and College in the Schools programs.

American Indian Education Coordinator

The Centennial School District American Indian Education Program is free to all American Indian Students.  Our focus is on cultural and traditional values while assisting American Indian students in achieving a quality education in high school and beyond.  This includes our cultural program each month which includes tribal history, language, story, art, games and independent projects.
