What We Offer

Expanding choices: Students have increasing number of options with the STEM program, world language for high school credit in French, German, and Spanish, expanded art programs, and instrumental and vocal music programs.

Research-based, data-driven decision-making: We use multiple data points to understand our students’ needs and frame our program through best practices in learning.

Personalized scheduling: Most of our students’ days are hand-scheduled to ensure they have everything they need to reach their full potential.

Strong communication: Centennial Middle School is committed to clear, consistent communications with students and families.

Connections Learning Time: Thirty minute mid-day time for students to come together to work on make-ups, test prep and organizational skills. For one quarter, students participate in a Digital Skills course focusing on Digital Citizenship and keyboarding curriculum. The curriculum is aligned to the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standards and is taught by a licensed media specialist. This course is designed to offer a blended learning environment for students.

Extensive after-school activities: From numerous intramural sports to more than 100 club and special events, Centennial Middle School involves nearly 80% of students in fun and educational activities for every interest. Buses are provided after school for all students participating in after-school activities.

Parent connections: Parents have monthly time to meet with the principal through the Parent Support Organization, as well as access to the parent portal to track their child’s attendance and academics.

Welcoming environment for new students: We offer a half-day orientation workshop for 5th graders and their teachers to help them prepare plus a 5th grade welcome night to ensure our families are prepared and ready for middle school.
