Trooper Hagen and K-9 Visit CMS

September 15, 2017

State Trooper Derek Hagen came in to visit Mr. Young’s class at Centennial Middle School with his K-9, Jack. Trooper Hagen and Jack are a Crime Fighting Duo who showed the class what a police K-9 “drug dog” is capable of! One student said, “It was super cool, and the dog even came when I called for it!” Trooper Hagen talked to the class about what it takes to be a Trooper for the State of Minnesota, and that even though not every day is an exciting one, people count on him to be at his best on a daily basis to protect and serve. “We always love to come in and talk to the students about what we do, as well as what our K-9 officers do,” said Trooper Hagen. Trooper Hagen is married to our School Resource Officer (SRO) Terina Hagen.

Centennial Middle School is proud to support our Police, Fire, and EMT’s as they place themselves in the line of danger on a daily basis to protect others. We look forward to many more visits throughout the years from Trooper Hagen and Jack!
